Burnt at the Stake
2019 Promenade Performances
In 1556 three Guernsey women from the same family were unfairly tried for heresy and were burnt at the stake on Tower Hill in St Peter Port.
GHIAC feel this tragic miscarriage of justice should not be forgotten.
Each July, on the anniversary, we present a special Promenade Performance of our play "Burnt at the Stake", starting in Market Square. Cast and players then move to Tower Hill for the finale.
